Fermin Rivas

Fermin Rivas is an experienced executive in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, currently serving as General Manager for Spain and Portugal at Amicus Therapeutics since November 2015. With a strong background in leadership roles, Rivas previously held positions such as Executive Director of Strategy & Innovation for EMEA and Country Manager for Portugal at Celgene, where responsibilities included operational management and price negotiations. Earlier in the career, Rivas contributed to Celgene's establishment in Spain and held various sales and marketing positions. Experience also includes positions at MSD, Grupo Alter, and Janssen, along with a foundational role as a pharmacist. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA from Esade, a program at The Wharton School for Pharmaceutical & Biotech Executives, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.
