Monika Nemcova

Monika Nemcova currently serves as the General Manager for Central & Eastern Europe at Amicus Therapeutics since May 2024, following a role as an Experienced Leader in Rare Diseases from April 2023. Prior to this, Monika worked at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals as the Country Manager for Central Europe from October 2019 to March 2023, where responsibilities included establishing the company's presence in several countries to facilitate access to RNAi therapeutics for patients with genetic rare diseases. Monika also contributed to the Rare Diseases Czech Republic as the Head of the Palliative Care Project, focusing on strategy development for integrated care and collaboration with European patient organizations from January 2018 to October 2019. Earlier in the career, Monika held various key positions at Shire, including Director of Czech and Slovak Cluster and Managing Director at Shire Czech s.r.o., where significant progress was made in the rare disease sector. Monika earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Charles University between 1986 and 1992.
