Clarisse Tay has a diverse work experience that spans different industries and roles. Clarisse began their career as a Summer Research Student at Nanyang Technological University in 2015. Clarisse went on to work as a Marketing Intern at Reebonz - Your World of Luxury, where they managed planning, execution, and analysis of listing eDMs and developed segmented mobile pushes.

In 2017, Clarisse took on two part-time positions. Firstly, they worked as a Part-Time Baker at Bakestarters, where they planned and developed dessert ideas for baking kits and directed the design of finished dessert photographs. Secondly, they worked as a Part-Time Administrator at The Learning Museum, where they prepared worksheets for teachers, systemized them by subject, and assisted in marking students' assignments.

In 2022, Clarisse began pursuing their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, which is expected to be completed in 2023. Additionally, in September 2017, they obtained a certification in "Follow Food and Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures" from Eduquest International Institute.
