George Gichuru

George Gichuru has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and blockchain development. George started their career as a Software Engineer at AdoreKE in 2017 and worked there until December 2019. At AdoreKE, they were involved in software development projects.

In 2020, George joined L'Afritech Solutions as a Back End Developer and worked there until February 2021. George gained experience in back-end development during their time at L'Afritech Solutions.

Later in 2021, George joined Africa-AI-Japan as a Project Intern. George worked as a research assistant and software developer in this role. George contributed to research on ontologies and developed a system for potato Blight detection. George also developed OWL ontologies using Protégé and created a flutter application for farmer input and interaction.

In the same year, George joined nGeni.io as a Software Engineer. George played a key role in developing and building blockchain applications on EVM Chains, Solana, and Near using Solidity, Rust, and Typescript. Additionally, they built fintech applications using React and Typescript and helped in bridging web2 applications into the web3 space.

Most recently, George started working at Amini as a Blockchain Engineer in 2023.

George Gichuru attended The Technical University of Kenya from 2016 to 2021, where they pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology.
