Justin Pahara is a research scientist at the Government of Canada where a nanotechnology research program is led, integrating fields such as synthetic biology, crop science, and entomology. In addition, Justin serves as a mirror committee member for the Standards Council of Canada and has an advisory role at Amino Labs focusing on rapid prototyping for genetic engineering technologies. Justin founded Synbiota Inc., specializing in the development of advanced DNA assembly hardware. A former biosecurity fellow at Johns Hopkins, Justin's educational background includes a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Cambridge, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology and Immunology from the University of Alberta.
