Amit Papers has been in the business of paper since 1944, long enough to know that paper was never really the point. What we sell is a solution to someone's problem, and paper just happens to be how we solve it.

We began as a family trade in Ranchi, founded by Shri Bhagwati Prasad Jalan under the guidance of his father, the late Shri Hiralal Jalan. Eight decades later, that single trade has become a Paper & Boards house with roots across India: Kolkata, Chennai, Sivakasi, Bangalore, and a reach that extends into Bangladesh, and is recognised by the Government of India with "Export House Status."

Today we build packaging solutions for the Food, Hygiene, E-commerce and Medical industries. We don't do it alone, and we've never pretended to. Our real work is connecting things - paper manufacturers, flexible packaging laminators, printers, coaters and specialist service providers from around the world and pointing all of it at a single customer's need. We're the catalyst in the middle, the ones who make the pieces fit.

Every project starts the same way: we understand the application, get to the technicality of the raw material, then blend that with what actually makes commercial sense. That last part matters. Plenty of people can tell you what's possible; our job is to tell you what's worth doing.

We keep growing, developing new products and opening new geographies because we believe India has everything it needs to compete anywhere in the world: the materials, the manufacturing, and the will to serve international markets properly.

After 80 years, our measure of success hasn't changed.

Not the tonnage.
Not the number of logos on our client list.
Not the number of products.

Just whether the customer in front of us walked away better off.
