Rance Clouser

Rance Clouser is the current Regional Technology Officer at AMITA Health. Prior to this, they served as the Interim Regional CIO for Ascension Florida market, accountable for 7 acute care sites and several ambulatory clinics. Rance has also served as the System Vice President, IT Support Services for Advocate Aurora Health, enterprise IT executive accountable for all IT support services and unified communication technologies for this newly merged organization of 28 acute care sites, 500 clinics, and 70,000 employees.

Clouser has extensive experience in IT management and transformation. At Advocate Aurora Health, they created and implemented a workforce strategy integrating two radically different IT support models into a single, unified structure aligned with clinical operations; eliminated several leadership positions and reduced IT spend by $1.0M; led a staff of 350+ employees. Rance also transformed IT support delivery by developing a growth mindset and customer-first culture which repositioned IT support staff as strategic technology partners with clinical and business leaders, thereby aligning clinical operations and technology projects.

Rance has also been responsible for instituting a leadership development program, and developing a training program and collateral to educate staff on ‘how to’ become a strategic partner and deliver value to the enterprise. Other notable achievements include being accountable for deployment of all hardware supporting the multi-year Epic implementation for 12 acute care site, and 400 clinics; establishing application rationalization practices to optimize the application footprint through consolidation and/or elimination of unnecessary or redundant applications; strategizing and executing a large-scale expansion and integration of multiple enterprise video conferencing platforms throughout Wisconsin and Illinois to eliminate travel for executives and clinical experts; and identifying RPA (robotic process automation) opportunities to optimize service delivery.

Rance Clouser holds a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Systems from Taylor University.
