Walter Bloch

Walter Bloch has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Walter is currently working at Amla Commerce as the Director of Product Consulting & Academy, a position they started in January 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Program Manager at Amla Commerce from September 2019 to January 2022.

Before joining Amla Commerce, Walter served as the Head of Projects/Global Operations at Luminos Labs from October 2017 to June 2019, where they led a 70-person project delivery team in the USA.

From May 2015 to August 2017, Walter worked at BuySeasons, Inc. as the E-commerce Director (retail)/Project Manager. In this role, they were responsible for building a professional agile project practice and leading the transformation of the company's product management and e-commerce platforms. Walter also managed the e-commerce marketing and content efforts, and successfully led the discovery and planning for a new e-commerce platform.

Between 2008 and 2015, Walter held various roles at Hanson Dodge Creative, including Vice President of Technology Solutions and Vice President of Project Management. In these roles, they were instrumental in building a professional Project Management Office (PMO) and increasing profitability by 17%. Walter also oversaw website strategy development and the creation of online e-commerce websites, apps, and technology systems, delivering consistent results for clients.

Walter worked as an Aqua Yoga Fitness Instructor at Blast Fitness from October 2012 to March 2014, where they led members in the practice of aqua yoga, focusing on stretching, relaxation, and stress relief.

Additionally, Walter has held positions as an Executive Management Consultant at SafeNet Consulting from January 2007 to February 2008 and as a Senior Program Manager - Consultant at Gehl Company in 2007.

Earlier in their career, Walter served as the Director of Professional Services at Marshall & Swift/Boeckh from August 2002 to November 2006, and as the Manager of Software Development at Peter Storer & Associates from 1998 to 2002. Walter also worked as an Independent Consultant at Bloch Businessware from 1995 to 1998.

Walter Bloch's education history begins in 1985 when they enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Walter pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Computer Systems and completed their studies in 1989. Following this, Walter attended U W Milwaukee from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained an MBA, although the field of study is unspecified.

In addition to their formal education, Walter Bloch has also earned several certifications throughout their career. In 2004, they received their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. In November 2013, they obtained both the Professional Scrum Master I certification and the Profession Scrum Product Owner I certification from Scrum.org. In December 2017, Walter became an InRiver Business Consultant after completing the related certification program. Most recently, in April 2019, they obtained the Znode Trainer Certification from Znode, followed by the Certified SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager certification from Scaled Agile Inc in July 2019.
