Rob Mason has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Rob started their career in 1985 as an Electronic Engineering Technician at Hyster and then moved on to Bayer Diagnostics in 1987 in the same role. In 1992, they joined Motorola as a Senior Systems Engineer and continued in that position until 1997. Rob then worked at 3Com as a Senior Engineer from 1997 to 1998, followed by a role as a Senior/Principal Engineer at Accuris Ltd from 1998 to 2000. Rob then joined 3Com again as a Principal Engineer (R&D) from 2000 to 2001.

Rob's next role was as a Technical Lead at Logica Mobile Networks from 2001 to 2003. Rob then joined Ammeon Ltd in 2003, initially as an Engineering R&D Manager/Architect, and later transitioned into the role of Systems Engineer/Architect specializing in Linux, automation, virtualization, and cloud from 2011 to 2017.

Ultimately, Rob Mason joined Workday in 2017 and has held two positions there. Rob started as a Principal Software Engineer and also worked in a role focusing on Cloud Orchestration, Kubernetes, and related tasks.

Rob Mason earned a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from Trinity College Dublin from 1997 to 1999. Rob then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Computing - Cloud from Dublin City University from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, they pursued BCS Membership - Part 1 (HND Equivalent) from the British Computer Society from 1994 to 1995. Prior to that, they completed an Advanced Diploma in Microprocessor Systems from Technological University Dublin from 1990 to 1991, and a Diploma in Electronic Engineering from the same university from 1982 to 1985.
