Co-Founder & CEO at AMMP Technologies

Svet Bajlekov is the Co-Founder and CEO of AMMP Technologies. Svet has over 8 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, spanning from business development and project management to technical design and operations.

Svet started their career as a consultant at Bain & Company, where they worked on a variety of projects in the renewable energy space. Svet then joined Lightyear Foundation as their Solar Program Manager, overseeing the implementation of solar energy projects in East Africa.

In 2015, Svet joined PowerGen Renewable Energy as their Business Development and Projects Manager. There, they were responsible for financial modeling, grant writing, and setting up pilot micro-grids. In 2018, Svet left PowerGen to co-found AMMP Technologies. AMMP is a social enterprise that provides reliable and affordable electricity to rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa through mini-grids.

Svet Bajlekov has a PhD in Atomic & Laser Physics from University of Oxford. Svet also has a MSci in Theoretical Physics from Durham University. Svet is currently a visiting scholar at MIT Sloan School of Management, where they are studying Managing Technical Professionals and Organizations. Svet is also a visiting scholar at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where they are studying Technology and Innovation Strategy.
