Alyssa Groome

Alyssa Groome has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Alyssa began their career as a PT Tech at Ryan's Center for Hand Therapy in 2011. Alyssa then worked as a Personal Assistant for two different patients at the Illinois Department of Human Services from 2006 to 2012. In 2010, they served as the Student Congress President and School Representative at the IATA Student Congress.

Alyssa then joined OAK Orthopedics in 2012, where they worked as an Athletic Trainer in their clinical department and Durable Medical Equipment department until 2016. At Choice Therapy from 2016 to 2017, Alyssa gained experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer in various settings, including high schools, industrial sites, and a physical therapy clinic.

From 2017 to 2019, they joined Injury Prevention by ATI Worksite Solutions as a Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Early Intervention Specialist (CEIS) in the industrial setting. At ATI Physical Therapy from 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Physician Extender at The University of Chicago.

In 2019, Alyssa joined Olivet Nazarene University as an Admissions Counselor and Athletic Liaison. Most recently, they have been working at AMN Healthcare since 2021, initially as a Senior Recruiter and later as a Principal Recruiter, recruiting allied healthcare professionals nationwide.

Throughout their career, Alyssa has demonstrated a passion for healthcare and has transitioned from being a clinician herself to supporting and advocating for healthcare workers in various roles.

Alyssa Groome obtained their Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Olivet Nazarene University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Alyssa also holds additional certifications including a Certified Early Intervention Specialist (CEIS) from Injury Prevention by ATI Worksite Solutions in 2017, BOC Athletic Training Certification from BOC in 2013, and CPR & AED certification from the American Red Cross in August 2012.
