Mario Melendez

Mario Melendez serves as the Director of Data Management & Analytics at AMN Healthcare, a position held since March 2003, overseeing a diverse team that includes Data Engineers, DBAs, and Data Analysts to address business challenges through data solutions. Previously, Mario held the role of Manager of Data Services, leading a team of database administrators responsible for the 24/7 support of extensive databases including SQL Server and Oracle. Mario's career at AMN also includes experience as a Senior Database Administrator, where responsibilities ranged from technical infrastructure management to complex database tasks. Prior to this, Mario worked as a Senior Technical Consultant for PeopleSoft, providing programming and database management services during major global implementations. Mario began a career in technology as a Web Developer Intern for the U.S. Forest Service. Educational credentials include a BSBA in Management Information Systems and Operations Management from the University of Arizona, along with additional coursework in Data Mining from UC San Diego.
