Onkar Santan

Onkar Santan currently serves as the Assistant General Manager - DSP Lead at Amneal Pharmaceuticals since September 2025. Prior to this role, Onkar held various positions at Biocon from October 2016 to September 2025, including Senior Scientific Manager and Scientific Manager, leading the peptide process development for regulated markets and focusing on the commercialization of therapeutic peptides and complex generics. Starting at Cipla Ltd. as a Manager from August 2015 to September 2016, Onkar was involved in the R&D lab and manufacturing facility set-up for peptide purification. With a robust background at Biocon from June 2008 to August 2015, Onkar gained expertise in process development, optimization, and manufacturing across multiple product categories, including peptides and immunosuppressants, while contributing to scientific and technical documentation. Onkar holds an M.Tech in Bioprocess Technology from ICT (UDCT), University of Mumbai, a Post Graduate Diploma in Patent Law from NALSAR Law University, and a B.Pharmacy from NDMVP Samaj College of Pharmacy.
