Dr. Emma Haddad currently serves as the Chief Executive at St Mungo's and as a Board Director for Amnesty International UK. Previously, Dr. Haddad held the position of Director General for Asylum and Protection at the UK Home Office, where responsibilities included the transformation of the UK’s asylum system and refugee resettlement programmes. Dr. Haddad’s experience at the Department for Work and Pensions involved leading a large team to enhance service delivery across various benefits, as well as overseeing the operations related to Employment and Support Allowance. Dr. Haddad also has a robust background in international policy and migration, having worked in various capacities within the UK Home Office and the European Commission. Dr. Haddad holds a PhD in International Relations and Forced Migration from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
