Anjhula Mya Singh Bais

Anjhula is an international psychologist, specialised in trauma and a thought leader in psychology, mental health, human rights, and strategic leadership. Anjhula researches, publishes and speaks on trauma, budhism and feminism and regularly contributes op-eds to leading international publications. For two years she hosted a radio programme called #MindMatters on Lite FM with one million listeners. A philanthropist, Anjhula co-founded the Bais-Selvanathan Foundation and has held the titles of World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and Marie Claire Woman of the Year influencer. She served as a People to People Citizen Ambassador to Rwanda for genocide reconciliation research and is the youngest person to be appointed to the board of The Institute of Semitics at Princeton.

Anjhula served as Chair of Amnesty Malaysia 2017-2019. An LSE Distinguished Alumni, Anjhula holds a B.A. in psychology from Lady Sri Ram College, University of New Delhi, a M.Sc. in psychoanalysis from University College London and a Ph.D. with distinction from The Chicago School.
