Amnesty International
Milena Marin is currently the Deputy Director for Digital Investigations and Head of the Evidence Lab at Amnesty International, a position held since January 2022. Previously, Milena served as Programme Manager at the Open Knowledge Foundation from September 2013 to June 2015, and as Data and Technology Coordinator for the People Engagement Programme at Transparency International from June 2009 to August 2013. At Transparency International, Milena organized the first anti-corruption hackathon, developed anti-corruption tools, and coordinated legal aid service documentation efforts through the Advocacy and Legal Advice Centres (ALACs). Earlier career experience includes a role as Programme Assistant at Freedom House in 2007. Milena holds an Interdisciplinary Master in Eastern European Research and Studies from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, with additional studies at Sankt Petersburg State University and Școala Națională de Studii Politice și Administrative din București.
