Head Of Big Tech Accountability & Deputy Director, Amnesty Tech at Amnesty International

Pat de Brún currently serves as the Head of Big Tech Accountability and Deputy Director of Amnesty Tech at Amnesty International, leading initiatives focused on exposing and challenging human rights abuses linked to Big Tech companies. Prior to this role, Pat worked at SOAS University of London as a Researcher and Adviser on Technology and Human Rights, and held positions related to human rights at the Cambodian Center for Human Rights and as a Legal Consultant. Pat also has experience as a Lecturer in Human Rights Law at the Royal University of Law and Economics and has interned with the United Nations during the Khmer Rouge Trials. Pat holds a Master of Laws in Human Rights, Conflict, and Justice from SOAS University of London and has a Bachelor of Civil Law in Law with Politics from University College Dublin, complemented by a study at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
