Alejandra Umpiérrez

Degree in Philosophy (UdelaR) with a specialty in International Studies and International Cooperation. She served as Coordinator of Work with Intergovernmental Organizations (IGOs) of the Uruguay Section of Amnesty International and is currently an advisor to AI Uruguay in the field of international and local advocacy. She has experience working with United Nations human rights protection mechanisms, especially in drafting written contributions to different organizations. She also has experience in promoting initiatives to achieve the ratification of international Human Rights Conventions, Protocols and Treaties at the national level.
