Basem Yosr has a strong background in business technology and management. Basem started their career at Pfizer in 2000, where they held various roles including Senior Manager, Business Technology Partner for Africa and Middle East, and Field Force Effectiveness Manager for the Middle East Region. In these roles, they were responsible for developing technology strategies, managing client relationships, and delivering business solutions.

Yosr then joined Care 4 Catering in 2011 as a Managing Partner in the Oil & Gas Catering sector. Here, they successfully increased sales volume and implemented a robust reporting system for HR and finance.

Basem Yosr has a diverse education history. Basem obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Management Technology from the Modern Academy for Computer Science, where they attended from 1994 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Port-Said Language Schools from 1991 to 1994, although the specific field of study during this period is unknown. In addition to their formal education, Basem Yosr has also acquired several certifications throughout their career. These include a Change Management Certification and a Generative AI for Business Leaders certification from LinkedIn, both obtained in October 2023. Amoun established its third state-of-the-art factory (Amoun Pharmaceutical Co.) - designed by John Brown Co. in Chicago following all FDA requirements – and is today considered to be one of the largest and most modern pharmaceutical factories in the Middle East and Africa. Amoun has five branches in Egypt which between them, cover all major sales territories: Two branches in Cairo to cover, Amoun's the region of Greater Cairo, one branch in Mansoura to serve the Delta region, one branch in Alexandria to serve Alexandria, Behira, Kafr El-Sheikh and Matrouh Governorates, and one branch in Assuit to serve Upper Egypt, starting from Menia to Aswan Governorates. Amoun is considered to be one of the largest companies in the field of producing human and veterinary pharmaceutical products and food supplements; covering most of the pharmaceutical groups, including 144 items, which cover more than 264 products of different pharmaceutical forms and concentrations These pharmaceuticals take the form of capsules, tablets, dry syrups, powders, effervescents, syrups, solutions, drops, creams, suppositories, sprays, as well as sterile products such as ampoules, vials, sterile eye drops and eye ointments. Amoun’s veterinary products include 20 names covering 30 products of different forms and concentrations. Due to its prestigious reputation as a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Egypt, Amoun produces a number of products under licence from international pharmaceutical companies such as Merck (Germany), Rowa Wagner (Germany), Leurquin (France), and Guerbet (France) for diagnostic injectables. Our strategic plan aims to achieve the production of 110 million packages of different pharmaceutical forms amounting to approximately L.E. 780 million by 2009, and approximately 300 million packages amounting to (+/-) L.E. 2 billion by 2015.
