Senior Core Product Manager at Amount

Vivian Sun has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Vivian started their career as a Student Director at BUILD - Berkeley United in Literacy Development, where they collaborated with teachers and the tutor team to establish efficient literacy program strategies and increased reading efficiency in the students served. Vivian then worked as a Computer Lab Assistant at Computer Science 61A, where they mentored and tutored students new to programming.

Vivian's interest in product management led their to join BOLD as a Product Discovery Intern, where they assisted in various aspects of product management, including competitive analysis and user testing. Vivian then became a Product Associate, responsible for defining product scope, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing content production for a new feature. As an Associate Product Manager, they owned the cover letters area of the career services software, developed product requirement documents, and ensured alignment across teams.

Currently, Vivian is working at Amount as a Senior Core Product Manager, where they have scoped and developed new financial software products and features, such as Telesales and Second Look. Vivian also led the development of a risk-based pricing product called financing programs, which reduced policy change turnaround time. Additionally, they developed comprehensive QA testing plans to ensure alignment with product requirements and specifications.

Throughout their career, Vivian has demonstrated strong skills in product management, collaboration, and strategic thinking.

Vivian Sun completed their high school education at Advanced Technologies Academy from 2008 to 2012, with a focus on business. Following that, they pursued their Bachelor's Degree at the University of California, Berkeley from 2012 to 2016. During their undergraduate studies, they majored in Cognitive Science and minored in Computer Science.
