Global Head, Corporate Strategy & Product Development at AMP

Josh Waterhouse is the current Global Head of Corporate Strategy & Product Development at AMP. Josh has over 20 years of experience in strategy consulting, strategic planning, transaction advisory services, enterprise change and data management.

Josh was responsible for strategy consulting, strategic planning, transaction advisory services, enterprise change and data management for AMP Capital. Josh was also the business owner for the demerger of AMP Capital, overseeing strategy development, operating model design and implementation, technology architecture, re-branding, governance changes, implementation of a Management Equity Plan (MEP), and overall separation of the business from AMP Group.

Under Josh's leadership, AMP Capital pivoted its strategy to focus exclusively on private markets, to take advantage of the significant market growth expected in Private Equity and Private Credit over the next decade. Josh also supported the execution of several transactions, including: the buy-back of MUFG's 15% stake; transfer of the Multi-Asset Group (MAG) to AMP Australia; and sale of the Global Equities and Fixed Income (GEFI) division to Macquarie Asset Management.

Josh has also been responsible for oversight and management of the annual strategic planning cycle and accountability for data management with oversight of the Enterprise Data Office.

Josh Waterhouse has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, and a Higher School Certificate from Northern Beaches Christian School. Josh also has a degree from Università Commerciale 'Luigi Bocconi' in Economics & Finance.

Josh Waterhouse reports to Alexis George, CEO. They are on a team with Rebecca Nash - Chief People Officer, Lisa Hurley - Head of People & Culture, and Damian Stanley - Global Co-Head, Value-Added Infrastructure Equity.
