Overview:
The Marketing Coordinator supports the development and execution of strategic marketing and communication initiatives for association clients. This role focuses on enhancing brand visibility, engaging stakeholders, and contributing to impactful marketing campaigns.

Travel Requirements:

Travel is required for this role and varies by client assignment, ranging from occasional to monthly for client meetings or events. Evening and weekend work may occasionally be required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in preparing marketing plans, including strategies and budgeting

  2. Support research and recommendations for marketing programs to enhance relationships, increase membership, and generate revenue.

  3. Plan and execute advertising and promotional projects aligned with the marketing plan.

  4. Develop and manage content calendars for social media, website updates, and e-newsletters.

  5. Create and produce content for social media, newsletters, announcements, and blog posts.

  6. Maintain and update website content regularly.

  7. Coordinate marketing/communication-related committees as needed.

  8. Measure and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, establishing benchmarks and sharing insights.

  9. Stay updated on industry trends, contributing insights to the marketing strategy.

  10. Collaborate with staff to meet the client’s objectives and mission.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, business administration, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in marketing or communications. Association management experience and familiarity with nonprofit boards are a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management and creating engaging content.
  • Experience with marketing platforms, including email and marketing automation tools.
  • Creativity in designing materials, preferably with tools like Canva.
  • Experience with Association Management Software (AMS) or CRM systems is a plus.
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong collaboration skills.
