Pete Baker

Pete Baker has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several roles and companies. Pete currently serves as the Vice President of Customer & Developer Engineering at Ampere since 2022. Prior to that, Pete worked at Intel Corporation for many years, holding various leadership positions such as Vice President of Datacenter Platform Application Engineering, where they established a global organization and strategy to deliver optimized software for PCs, servers, tablets, and phones. Pete also played a key role in talent and organizational development at Intel, overcoming engineering challenges and creating programs to support employee onboarding and mentoring. Earlier in their career, Pete was involved in software development and optimization for graphics and media technology at Intel and served as a Technical Marketing Engineer, where they were responsible for promoting and optimizing Intel technologies for third-party applications. Pete's experience also includes working as a Software Engineer in the 80960 GNU/960 Tools Group, where they were involved in building and enhancing software tools.
