James Scott has over 20 years of experience working in technical writing and content management roles. James has worked for a range of companies including Amperity, eSentire, Versive, Chef Software, Edifecs, Serena Software, Aquent, Microsoft, Volt, and Saltmine. James'smost recent role was as a Technical Content Manager at Amperity, starting in November 2019. Prior to that, they were a Technical Publications Manager at eSentire and Versive. James has also worked as a Senior Technical Writer at Chef Software, a Manager of Tech Writing at Edifecs, and a Senior Technical Writer at Serena Software. James began their career as a Technical Writer at Saltmine in 1999 before moving on to roles at Volt, Microsoft, and Aquent. During their time at Microsoft, they worked as a Technical Writer, Senior Technical Writer, and Content Program Manager.

James Scott attended Carroll College in Montana from 1987 to 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree. James'sprimary fields of study were History and International Relations.
