Charlie F.

Charlie F. is a highly experienced professional in the field of optoelectronics and optical interconnection, currently serving as the Technical Director of High-Speed Optical Interconnection at Amphenol since April 2024. Immediately prior, Charlie held the position of Senior Product Manager for Coherent Optics at EFFECT Photonics, focusing on InP PIC and DSP technologies. Previous roles include Senior Principal Engineer in Optoelectronic Chip Product Line Management at Lumentum, Senior Principal Engineer in Customer Solutions at OCLARO, and FAE Manager at Semtech, among others. Charlie's extensive background in optical systems design and product development is supported by a Ph.D. in Optics/Optical Sciences from Tsinghua University and additional education from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of Toronto.
