Arthur Harkness

Senior Process Engineer at Amphenol Spectra-Strip

Arthur Harkness has been working in the engineering field since 1981. Arthur began their career at GTE as an Environmental Engineer, where they were the plant contact for regulators and inspectors from PA-DER. Arthur managed Hazardous Waste collection and Shipment Manifests, and organized and managed testing to profile waste streams to select cost effective treatment and disposal methods. Arthur then moved to TERADYNE in 1987, where they were a Principal Engineer, leading numerous teams to reduce defects in Plating, Drill, Image, Lamination, Plasma, Impedance, and DES. Arthur also set up Laser Microvia drilling process, and wrote VB Macro to generate real time Takt Time report used to monitor Lean Manufacturing by department and overall. In 2008, they joined Amphenol as an RF Engineer, before moving to Technical Needs North as a Contract Engineer in 2009. Arthur then joined Amphenol Printed Circuits in 2010 as a Process Engineer, and in 2015 they became a Senior Process Engineer at Amphenol Spectra-Strip.

Arthur Harkness completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 1974, having started their studies in 1972.
