Joaquim Barros

Joaquim Barros has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Joaquim is currently working as a Software Engineer at Amplemarket since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Indra as a Software Engineer from 2019 to 2022 and at Feedzai from 2017 to 2019 in the same role. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Software Engineer at Indra. Earlier in their career, they served as the Vice President of Banda de Música de Cête since 2016 and also played the role of Saxophonist at the same band since 2004. Joaquim worked as an Assistant Monitor at Universidade do Porto from 2013 to 2015 and as a Treasurer at Talk a Bit from 2014 to 2015.

Joaquim Barros obtained their Master's Degree in Informatics and Computing Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, attending the institution from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2010, they attended Escola Secundária de Paredes, where they studied Sciences and Technologies. From 2005 to 2008, Joaquim studied Saxophone, Group Class, and Music Theory at Conservatório de Música de Paredes.

In addition to their formal education, Joaquim has obtained several certifications. In 2016, they obtained the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice. That same year, they achieved the Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 7 Programmer certification from Oracle, as well as the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 7 Programmer certification. In 2009, Joaquim obtained the First Certificate in English from Cambridge English Language Assessment. Most recently, in 2018, they became a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) through the Scrum Alliance.
