Dean Zhang

Software Developer II at AmpliFund

Dean Zhang has worked in a variety of roles in the music and technology industries. From 2014 to 2021, they held roles as a Piano Fellow at the New World Symphony, Principal Keyboardist at the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and the Canton Symphony Orchestra, Manager of the Edgewater Clarinet/Piano Duo, Automation Tester Associate at PNC, Software Developer at National General Insurance, and .NET Student at Tech Elevator. In 2018, they also took on the role of Principal Keyboardist at the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, where they were responsible for recruiting and maintaining a bench of 7-10 pianists for multi-keyboard services and overseeing the assignments among members of the section. In 2015, they were appointed as the Keyboard Area Coordinator at the New England Music Camp, where they co-designed, developed, and managed a new keyboard curriculum for NEMC’s first-ever online session due to COVID. Dean will be joining AmpliFund in 2022 as a Developer II.

Dean Zhang began their education in 2002 at Shanghai University, studying Management Science. Dean then attended the University of Wyoming from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. Dean continued their studies at the University of Wyoming, receiving a Master of Music in Piano Performance in 2010. In 2015, they earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music. In 2017, Dean Zhang obtained a Bot Developer (A2019) certification from Automation Anywhere. In 2020, they attended Tech Elevator. Finally, in 2022, Dean Zhang obtained an Automation Pro III certification from Workato.
