Sandy Dochen is currently the Director at Amplify Credit Union. Prior to this, they were with IBM for 20 years, where they served as the Manager of Corporate Citizenship & Corporate Affairs. In this role, they were responsible for administering various innovative IBM corporate citizenship programs to communities, schools and nonprofit organizations throughout Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. Sandy was also heavily involved in IBM's "Smarter Planet" outreach and positioning initiatives.
In addition to their work at IBM, Sandy has also served on the board of several state and regional organizations focused on education, workforce development and other elements of community development. Sandy is an expert on issues of public policy, community development and practical solutions to business issues, with a focus on balancing economic needs with common sense "sustainability" perspective.
Sandy's experience also includes working in governmental relations and education. Sandy spent 8 years at the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce as the Vice President of Governmental Relations & Education, and 2 years at MCC as the Director of Communications.
Sandy Dochen began their educational career at McCallum HS, where they studied journalism and political science. Sandy then transferred to The University of Texas at Austin, where they continued their studies in journalism.
