Jim Carroll

Jim Carroll has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to MMIC design, IC design flows, and microwave design. Jim is currently serving as the Division President at Amplitech Group, Inc. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of MMIC Design at Akash Systems and held the same position at AWR Corporation. Before that, they were a Senior Principal Engineer at Raytheon and the Group Lead for Advanced Technology at TriQuint Semiconductor. Jim also has experience as a Microwave Designer at Texas Instruments. Jim began their career as a student at Texas A&M University, where they completed multiple roles.

Jim Carroll attended Acadiana High for their high school education. Jim then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology from 1986 to 1990. Later, from 1990 to 1992, they attended Texas A&M University to obtain a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Following that, Jim pursued a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University from 1992 to 1995. In 2016, they briefly attended Harvard Extension School, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
