Kate Thomson

Kate Thomson is the Executive General Manager of Retail Australia at Ampol Australia, a position held since January 2019, overseeing the development and execution of the company's Convenience Retail strategy while managing the performance of 650 sites. Previous roles include General Manager of Retail Operations and Head of Retail Excellence at Ampol, focusing on operational efficiency and business transformation. Prior to Ampol, Kate served as General Manager of Mobile Lending and NSW Retail Branch Network at ANZ, and held various leadership positions at McDonald's over 22 years, including ANZ Business Development Manager and Operations Manager across multiple locations. Kate holds an M.B.A. from Charles Sturt University and certifications in franchising from the International Franchising Association.
