Peter Bester is a highly experienced engineering professional with extensive expertise in refining and project management. Currently serving as Engineering Manager for the Brisbane Renewable Fuels Project and the Future Fuels Project at Ampol Australia, Peter is responsible for delivering Euro 6 compliant fuels, as well as defining process scope and developing business cases. Previous roles include managing the refinery capital expenditure process and leading engineering teams at CaltexAU and BP Bulwer Island Refinery, where responsibilities encompassed process engineering, refinery optimization, environmental compliance, and business development. Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Chemical Engineering from RMIT and has a strong background in technical leadership, continuous improvement, and strategic planning within the oil and gas sector.
