Technical Fellow - Composites at AMRC

Samuel Furtado is a Technical Fellow in Composites at AMRC since August 2019, leading innovative CR&D proposals and projects for industrial partners. Prior experience includes serving as a Product Development Engineer and KTP Associate at the University of Manchester and Kudos Showers Ltd from September 2017 to August 2019, focusing on advanced composite shower tray development. At the Northwest Composite Centre, university contributions involved coordinating H2020 and Innovate UK research programs from May 2015 to September 2017, emphasizing green composite materials. Samuel has also worked as a Composite Development Engineer and held a research position at Instituto Superior Técnico from May 2011 to February 2015 after completing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution. Initial experience includes a trainee mechanical engineer position at Reckitt Benckiser from October 2010 to April 2011, following the attainment of a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
