Dr. Michel Mutabazi

Dr. Michel Mutabazi, MSc, MBA, MPH, PhD, serves as the Head of the Department of Health Systems Management and Development at Amref International University since August 2023. Previously, Dr. Mutabazi held several positions at Tangaza University, including Programs Leader and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Administration and Finance. Prior academic experience includes a university lecturer role at Kenyatta University, focusing on public health and management courses. Dr. Mutabazi has extensive financial management experience from roles at Brothers of Charity and Fracarita International, overseeing economic and financial matters, project coordination, and proposal development for health initiatives in Africa. Dr. Mutabazi's educational background includes multiple advanced degrees in Public Health, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics and Statistics, and Business Administration.
