Johannes Kopf

Johannes Kopf currently serves as the CEO of the Austrian Public Employment Service (AMS) since July 2023, leading the organization in providing labor-market services, candidate-job matching, and support for jobseekers and companies. Previously, Johannes Kopf held the position of Chair at the Network of the European Public Employment Services from July 2019 to June 2023, facilitating cooperation among public employment services across the EU. Johannes Kopf was also a Member of the Board of Directors at AMS Österreich from July 2006 to June 2023 and worked as a Labour Market Expert in the Cabinet of Dr. Martin Bartenstein at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour from April 2003 to June 2006. Additional experience includes roles as Project Manager at the Federation of Austrian Industry and as an Austrian employers negotiator for part-time and temporary employment issues. Johannes Kopf holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Vienna and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in European Law from Universität für Weiterbildung Krems.
