Rodney Polston has worked in the HVAC industry since 1997. Rodney's first role was as an Electronic Technician in the US Navy, where they maintained, troubleshot, and repaired AIMS MK XII IFF Systems and associated equipment. Rodney was recognized as a system expert in IFF while deployed on the USS Nimitz and was named Battle Force Intermediate Maintenance Activity for the carrier battle group while deployed in 2003. In 2007, they joined Johnson Controls as a Control Technician, where they diagnosed issues with HVAC software applications/equipment and provided solutions reducing equipment down time. Rodney also created graphics for HVAC systems which provided customers new and/or updated existing graphics and installed HVAC system controls, including equipment checkout, documentation, and programming. In 2011, they joined C&C as a Control Technician, performing similar duties. In 2012, they joined Trane as a Control Technician, where they diagnosed issues with HVAC software applications/equipment and provided solutions reducing equipment down time. Rodney also provided engineering drawings for project managers of various sizes and scopes, leading to overall reduction in cost to projects. Finally, in 2017, they joined AMS Controls as a Technical Support Specialist.

Rodney Polston attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 2005 to 2006, studying Electronic Systems Technologies. Rodney also attended Boot Camp in 1997.
