Maike Simmes

Program Developer at AMS Institute

As program developer for Future Proof Assets & Smart Urban Mobility, Maike is responsible for exploring, initiating, and developing relevant projects in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. She connects the Future Proof Assets & Smart Urban Mobility challenges of the region to innovation practices, competencies, and projects, to find insights and solutions that create a real added value for the city and its people. The aim is to create insights and solutions that can help citizens, policymakers, and entrepreneurs, make better (investment) policies or decisions and inspire new businesses and products.

In her previous roles, Maike has worked in the different parts of the Tripple Helix. She has worked, as the first employee, for the start-up New Motion, a provider of charging solutions for EVs. In Asia, with organizations where she helped companies & people with training on innovation, culture, and future skills. And in Paris for Europcar International within the Innovation Team as Senior Intrapreneur, developing new products and services. And before joining AMS, she worked at the TU Delft as an Innovation Manager. She bridges research and business and has set up national and international collaborations.
