Alexey Urbano Cañas

Alexey Urbano Cañas has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering. In 2008, they started their career at TigoUne as a Technical Support Engineer and worked there until 2011. They then joined Huawei as a Datacomm Engineer from 2011 to 2013. From 2013 to 2017, Alexey worked at INTERNEXA, first as a NOC Engineer and later as a Network Provisioning Engineer. In 2018, they joined Huawei Technologies as an IP Network Delivery Engineer for a brief period. In the same year, they also started working at InterNexa as a Network Provisioning Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Network Engineer from 2019 to 2022. Currently, Alexey is employed as a Network Engineer at AMS-IX since February 2022.

Alexey Urbano Cañas obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Network Technology from Northumbria University from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Ingeniero Electrónico from Universidad de Antioquia, completing it between 2002 and 2008. In 2010 and 2011, they attended Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana and earned a degree in Especialista en Gerencia de Proyectos. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Servidor Linux: Instalación y administración from LinkedIn in November 2021.
