Peter van Burgel

Peter van Burgel has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Peter currently serves as the CEO of AMS-IX since February 2018. Peter is also a Board Member of DINL starting from February 2020.

Prior to these positions, Peter held multiple roles at Westcon. Peter was the Director of Digital Transformation, EMEA from March 2014 to January 2018. In this role, they successfully completed a complex SAP implementation and organizational overhaul, resulting in a more scalable and customer-oriented company. Peter also served as the Director of Business Development, EMEA from November 2013 to September 2014, where they focused on growing the security business and streamlining sales and marketing divisions. Additionally, they held the position of Global Director EPM & SAP Project Executive from February 2011 to January 2014, leading a high-visibility project to upgrade a legacy system.

Before joining Westcon, Peter worked at KPN BV as the Business Director from April 2007 to January 2010. During this time, they expanded IT services into outsourcing, leading to revenue growth and a diversified revenue stream.

Peter also has experience as an entrepreneur. Peter founded and served as the Managing Director of 2Build4, a customer-focused IT solutions company, from July 2002 to January 2007. Peter successfully built the business from scratch and achieved profitable growth within one year.

Earlier in their career, Peter worked at Landis Group as the Director of Vendor Management & Business Development, EMEA from June 1999 to May 2002. Peter also had roles at Landis ICT Business Partners as a Product Marketing Manager from 1996 to 1999, and as a Product Manager from 1994 to 1996.

Peter van Burgel received a Master Class in Corporate Governance from Nyenrode Business University in 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a BSc in Marekting and Computer Architecture from De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 1990 to 1994. Before attending university, Peter attended Oranje Nassau College in 1988-1990, where they did not earn a specific degree or field of study. In addition to their formal education, Peter has also completed two certifications: "Managing Your Emotions at Work" and "Unconscious Bias" from LinkedIn, obtained in March 2021.
