Data Scientist: Manufacturing Process Optimization

Christopher Walker is a data scientist at ams OSRAM since November 2019, specializing in manufacturing process optimization through the application of micro-scale fabrication knowledge and machine learning techniques. Prior to this role, Christopher served as a PhD researcher at ETH Zurich, focusing on micro and nanoscale thermodynamics and heat transfer from November 2015 to July 2019. Additional experience includes working as a data research analyst at Energy Fundamentals, where responsibilities involved data analysis of European power markets, and as a technical sales engineer at EKATO Systems GmbH, overseeing project management in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Christopher also completed an R&D engineer internship at EKATO RMT GmbH, concentrating on testing industrial mixing systems. Christopher holds a PhD and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
