Joe Opiola

Joe Opiola is a Senior Validation Engineer at ams AG since July 2018, specializing in post-silicon validation and characterization of ambient light sensor integrated circuits using NI LabVIEW and TestStand, along with data analysis tools like Spotfire and Excel. Previously, Joe held the position of Senior Validation Engineer at Silicon Labs from January 2016 to June 2018, focusing on the validation of analog IP blocks for 32-bit MCUs, utilizing various testing equipment and data analysis through Excel and Power BI. With extensive experience at Maxim Integrated from June 2005 to September 2015, Joe progressed from Senior Test Engineer to Principal Test Engineer, engaging in product development, characterization, and testing of temperature sensors, oscillators, and other devices while collaborating across functions for product definition and verification. Joe’s career commenced at Dallas Semiconductor, where responsibilities included yield enhancement and failure analysis for the SCSI Terminator product line. Joe Opiola holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
