Matthias Ziegelmeier

Matthias Ziegelmeier currently serves as Senior Director and Global Head of Compliance Investigations & Export Control at ams OSRAM, a position held since April 2021, after progressing from roles including Director and Senior Legal Counsel focused on compliance investigations and export control. With extensive experience in leading group-wide compliance cases and conducting legal assessments in international export control and sanctions law, Matthias also specializes in anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, data privacy, antitrust, and export control risk assessments. Prior to ams OSRAM, Matthias held senior legal counsel positions at OSRAM and worked as a Graduate Research Associate at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München, where involvement included coaching for the Willem C. Vis Commercial Arbitration Moot Court. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and the Oberlandesgericht München, along with a Master of Philosophy in Philosophy, Logic, and Science Theory from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
