More and more craft breweries and distilleries are entering the market. With this, the need to differentiate one’s product is critical. Yet, how many breweries or distilleries are using the same base malts from large international maltsters? Or specialty malts from the other side of the world?  

We exist to offer the craft industry local malts with provenance, character, and terroir. Floor malted and made by hand. Craft malt for craft beer and whisky. To help you differentiate and elevate your beer and whisky to the world. 
 
So, who are we then? AMSAT are a small but mighty team of people dedicated to producing malts with character. We have over 60 years’ combined experience across multiple areas of the malt, wine, whisky, roasting, and brewing industries.  

AMSAT operates from its headquarters in Adelaide, South Australia. Here we manage the entire process from sourcing local barley, to floor malting, to kilning and/or roasting the malt in one of our many roasters.   

Uniquely, AMSAT is fully HACCP accredited. HACCP is a risk management methodology used by the food and related industries for the control of food safety hazards. In short, you can have confidence that our products are produced to the highest Australian food standards.
