Michael Sams

Michael Sams has over 28 years of experience in the engineering industry. Michael was the President and CEO of AMSEnergy Corp from 2006 until the present. At AMSEnergy Corp, they specialized in thermosyphon heat pipe heat exchangers, waste heat recovery solutions, and performing industrial/commercial energy assessments. In 2019, they started their own business as the owner of AMS Laser Fin, where they provided world-class laser welding to deliver greater finned pipe efficiencies to heat transfer equipment. Prior to starting their own business, they worked for Saturn from 1992-2006, where they started as an electrical technician and later became an electrical engineering resource. At Saturn, they followed maintenance procedures, programmed robotic and various CNC cutting equipment, analyzed and interpreted test information, and oversaw preventative maintenance on installed equipment.

Michael Sams earned their Associate of Applied Science degree in Industrial Technology-Electronic from Mott Community College in 1988. Michael then pursued an Electrical Apprenticeship from the U.S. Department of Labor and Michigan Department of Labor from 1985 to 1988. Later, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Michigan-Flint in an unspecified field of study from 1988 to 1992.
