Michael Carter

Michael Carter has a diverse work experience in the manufacturing industry. Michael started their career at Griffin Wheel Company as a Special Projects Accountant and later moved to Griffin Pipe Products Co., Inc. where they served as a Cost Accounting Manager. Michael then joined Burgess-Norton Mfg. Co. as the Vice President of Finance, overseeing operations in multiple countries. In 1999, they became the Enterprise Resource Planning Manager at Griffin Pipe Products Co., Inc. and then transitioned to the role of Information Technology Manager. Michael joined Amsted Industries as the Vice President-Controller in 2005 before moving to Amsted Rail as the Vice President, Chief Financial Officer in 2008. During their tenure at Amsted Rail, they played a key role in business development efforts, including international initiatives, acquisitions, and joint ventures. In 2017, they became the President of Amsted Seals, a startup company under the Amsted umbrella. Currently, they serve as the President of Amsted Rail, leading the world's leading manufacturer of railcar bogie systems and other rail components.

Michael Carter has pursued an Executive Masters Business Administration degree from Purdue University. Michael has also achieved a Bachelor of Science in Finance from DePaul University. Additionally, they have taken part in the Chicago Management Institute's executive education program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
