Project Lead at Amsterdam Data Collective

Jaap van Elsäcker has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jaap currently works at Amsterdam Data Collective, where they started as a Junior Consultant in November 2018 and progressed to becoming a Consultant in January 2020. Jaap then took on the role of Senior Consultant in January 2021 and was recently promoted to Project Lead in July 2022.

Prior to joining Amsterdam Data Collective, Jaap interned at McKinsey & Company in the Knowledge Network department from March 2017 to August 2017. Jaap also gained experience as a Working Student at Aegon Asset Management from May 2016 to October 2016.

During their time at FAECTOR, Jaap held two positions. From January 2015 to August 2016, they were a member of the International Research Project Committee. Subsequently, they became the Chairman of the Alumni Committee from September 2016 to August 2017, responsible for organizing activities and maintaining connections with the alumni network.

In 2015, Jaap had several other experiences. Jaap served as the Marketing Officer and Day Coordinator for the Landelijke Econometristendag, the largest recruitment event in the Netherlands for econometrics, operations research, and actuarial sciences students. Jaap also participated in a research project as a participant of the EFR/KPMG Research Project at KPMG Nederland and completed a research internship at Charta Software.

Before their professional career, Jaap gained retail experience as a Vulploegmedewerker at PLUS Retail from July 2010 to August 2015. Additionally, they were a member of the Eerstejaarscommissie at FAECTOR from September 2012 to August 2013.

With their diverse background and progression within Amsterdam Data Collective, Jaap van Elsäcker brings a range of skills and expertise to their current role as Project Lead.

Jaap van Elsäcker completed their education with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Quantitative Finance from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Jaap pursued this degree from 2016 to 2018. Prior to their master's degree, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Econometrics and Operations Research from the same university, studying from 2012 to 2016. Their earlier education includes attending Emmauscollege from 2006 to 2012, although the degree name and field of study for that period are unknown.
