Santiago Gutiérrez Orta

Santiago Gutiérrez Orta has worked as a Data Scientist at Amsterdam Data Collective starting from April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at FindZebra as a Data Scientist from August 2022 to November 2022, developing an API semantic search engine using Natural Language Processing (NLP) for rare disease information. From September 2020 to July 2022, they worked as a Data Scientist and Technological Development engineer at ZenzeTech, where they developed an insole device to analyze and monitor the mobility of patients with Parkinson's disease. Santiago also worked as a Teaching Assistant in Deep Learning at DTU Compute from September 2021 to January 2022. Before entering the tech industry, they worked as an Electrical Engineer at Endesa from February 2019 to August 2019, analyzing daily operations for the maintenance of medium voltage (MV) networks. Santiago also worked as an FTTH Design Engineer at GABITEL INGENIEROS, S.L. from November 2017 to November 2018, analyzing large-scale data to detect old fiber optic networks needing refreshment or installation of empty zones within networks.

Santiago Gutiérrez Orta started their education in 2013, studying BE Energy Engineering at Universidad de Huelva, where they completed their degree in 2019. In 2020, Santiago obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Stanford University. From 2020 to 2022, they pursued an MSc in Mathematical Modelling and Computation with a specialization in machine learning and signal processing from DTU - Technical University of Denmark. Santiago plans to take the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification in April 2023.
