Marieke Meijer

Marieke Meijer currently serves as a Junior Group Leader at Amsterdam UMC - Amsterdam Neuroscience, a position held since July 2016. With a strong background in neuroscience, Marieke previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at VUmc and held roles as a Research Fellow and PhD Candidate at the Center for Neurogenomics & Cognitive Research. The research focus encompasses synaptic transmission and pathophysiology, employing advanced in vitro models derived from patient-specific iPSCs. Marieke earned a PhD in Neuroscience from VU University Amsterdam and has multiple degrees in Neurosciences and Clinical Neuropsychology from the same institution, along with early research experience at renowned labs and institutes.
