Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst (AFK)
Ellen van Roij currently serves as Stafmedewerker Visuele Kunst en Erfgoed at Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst (AFK) since October 2021, following a brief internship in the same organization earlier in 2021. Previous experience includes a sales role at We Are Labels from August 2017 to October 2021, and positions as an exhibition host and campaign worker at Framer Framed in 2019. Ellen also assisted in the Chiharu Shiota exhibition at Het Noordbrabants Museum in September 2017. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Kunst, Cultuur en Politiek from the University of Amsterdam, along with a degree in Cultuurwetenschappen from the same institution and education at Sint Lucas Boxtel from 2013 to 2017.

Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst (AFK)
Het AFK is het fonds van en voor culturele wereldstad Amsterdam. Vanuit onze missie 'Fantastische kunst voor alle Amsterdammers', dragen we bij aan een stad waar iedereen de kans heeft kunst te beoefenen of ervaren. Daarom ondersteunen we alle kunstvormen in ieder stadsdeel en in elke wijk. We zijn er voor zowel professionele kunst als voor cultuurbeoefening in de vrije tijd - voor gevestigde organisaties, als ook de rafelranden en de pioniers. Het AFK richt zich met zijn activiteiten op drie groepen: kunstenaars en culturele organisaties, Amsterdammers, en de sector als geheel. Door kennis voor en over de sector te delen - dragen we bij aan een krachtig, toekomstbestendig kunstenveld.
