Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst (AFK)
Steven van Teeseling is an experienced professional in the art and cultural sector, currently serving as the Directeur of the Luther Museum since December 2023. With a notable academic background that includes a Master in Contemporary Art History from the University of Amsterdam, and a BA in Cultural Management from the Amsterdam School of the Arts, Steven has co-owned the plancius art collection since 2006, supporting artists through a private initiative. Het AFK is het fonds van en voor culturele wereldstad Amsterdam. Vanuit onze missie 'Fantastische kunst voor alle Amsterdammers', dragen we bij aan een stad waar iedereen de kans heeft kunst te beoefenen of ervaren. Daarom ondersteunen we alle kunstvormen in ieder stadsdeel en in elke wijk. We zijn er voor zowel professionele kunst als voor cultuurbeoefening in de vrije tijd - voor gevestigde organisaties, als ook de rafelranden en de pioniers. Het AFK richt zich met zijn activiteiten op drie groepen: kunstenaars en culturele organisaties, Amsterdammers, en de sector als geheel. Door kennis voor en over de sector te delen - dragen we bij aan een krachtig, toekomstbestendig kunstenveld.
